Her bus time departure back to LA was around 4ish. I drove her to the San Jose Diridon Caltrain station where her bus was going to depart from. We got there around an hour early and so we decided to get coffee at Starbucks. She only had a few hours of sleep and had a hard time staying awake. I was unfamiliar with the area and she was too since we both weren’t from SJ. We looked like lost puppies searching for Starbucks.
After we got Starbucks, I tried finding parking at the San Jose Diridon station but it seemed like everyone was there that day. I decided to drop her off instead because I didn’t want her to be late. I double parked, got out of the car, helped her get her luggage and I gave her a kiss. She said bye and right when she was gonna turn around to walk, I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her in for another kiss. This time I gave her an even longer kiss. My heart didn’t want her to go but my mind was telling me that I had to. Even though a part of me wished she could miss her bus so she could stay with me for another day.
I said bye to her once again and started driving off. While I was driving, I suddenly made a sharp U-turn and started driving back. I quickly searched for parking on the street because the parking lot was full. I found a small space and parked there. There was a sign that said the restrictions of this parking space but I didn’t even bother to read it. I was only concentrated on getting back before she got on the bus. I started running as fast as I can for 3 blocks, briefly looking both ways for cars but still sprinting just as fast. Huffing and puffing as I got there and I see her sitting casually sitting on the bench with a surprised look on her face. Hunched over with my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath, I managed to make out one word in a very out-of-breath voice “Hi”
